Wilson PeeWee Tennis / MLC Hot Shots Programs

The Wilson PeeWee and MLC Tennis Hot Shots programs are the only nationally recognised tennis grassroots program that is endorsed by Tennis Australia. MLC Tennis Hot Shots is the fun way for kids to learn how to play tennis. Smaller courts, nets, racquets and low-compression balls make learning easy and gives younger players the chance to serve, rally and score right from the first time they play! Students are assessed and placed into groups (beginner/intermediate/ advanced) according to their age and skill levels.

The programs are based on a “learnings through play” philosophy where children will: ✔ serve, rally and score ✔ have lot’s of fun and exercise ✔ meet new friends and build social skills ✔ enjoy competition in a variety of formats.

Wilson PeeWee - Bright Star (Red Group)

3-6 YEAR OLDS  > 2 Months of  30 MINUTE LESSONS  >  $136 PER PERSON  >  $17.00 PER LESSON

• Move quickly in different directions and stop on balance.
• Direct the serve over the net using an underarm or overarm serve.
• Use a low to high action on both forehand and backhand.
• Keep the ball in play for 10–15 shots when rallying with a partner.
• Make a simple approach and volley with a short forward movement.
• Listen actively to instructions and feedback.
• Children require a racquet size of 21-23”

MLC Hot Shots - Shinning Star (Orange Group)

7-10 YEAR OLDS >  2 Months of 1 HOUR LESSONS > $229 PER PERSON > $28 PER 1 HOUR LESSON

• Maintain balance during dynamic movements serve with a balanced and rhythmical service action keep the ball in play for 10–15 shots.
• When rallying with a partner effectively use spin in a ground stroke rally situation control the direction of a volley and overhead.
• Understand the concept of fair play and the main rules of the gameChildren require a raquet size of 23-25”

MLC Hot Shots - Rising Star (Green Group) 10-12 YEAR OLDS > 2 Months of 1 HOUR LESSONS > $229 PER PERSON > $28 PER 1 HOUR LESSON

• React quickly and adapt footwork and movement patterns.
• Keep correct posture and maintain body balance.
• Differentiate speed and spin on first and second serves.
• Rally cross court for 10–15 shots varying height, depth, speed and spin use approach, drive volley, volley and overhead in an offensive way.
• Children require a raquet size of 25-27”
